You landed in the “about” page, so chances are you wanted to know something about the person behind this blog. If you accidently clicked yourself here, still keep on reading, you might find something that you resonate with. It is always good to learn something about a person and what drives him/her to do things. Seriously, we should ask others more often about what gets them out of bed in the morning. In most cases they don’t know. Sad story.
Back to me, in short (I know you are busy): I want to help aspiring leaders to grow and become the best version of themselves so that they can feel good about themselves, master life and work and inspire others to do the same.
What? That’s a bit thick, buddy, you might think. Yes, ok, maybe. But that’s what matters, isn’t it? If you don’t feel good about yourself, you won’t succeed. Because what you think and believe about yourself matters and makes all the difference. And if you don’t inspire others to do the same, not the same job or whatever you do, but to also believe in themselves and the possibility, by being a great role model and example, then….why bother?
I believe that
- People settle too early and stop pushing their boundaries. Exploring our limits is so natural to us when we are children
- People structure life around work and not work around life. Work-Life balance is a myth anyways, nowadays in particular. We worry about the wrong things. We should seek to find a balance between consuming and creating.
- People underestimate their potential and the influence they have on others. The behavior that we show ever day is picked up by others around us, consciously or subconsciously and it serves them to either validate or disrupt their current beliefs. We rather be generous with the good behavior then.
But I also believe that humans are incredibly resourceful and whole. They can figure things out by themselves. They sometimes only need a push into the right direction, an eye-opening insight and perspective, a listening ear or somebody to ask the right questions.
So, here I am, sharing my experience and wisdom acquired over the last 40+ years, challenging and gently pushing. I’m no different than you. I worked on myself and have mentored and coached others in my corporate job and in life to do and feel better. I decided to share what made a difference to my life and the lives of all the others whom I was blessed to have positively impacted.
How to get started, I hear you ask? The best way is to jump on my email list (click here to do so, now)
If you subscribe to my list, you become one of my role models. This means that I will interact with you on a weekly basis and share experiences, lessons, insights and tools (tons of value so to say) that can help you run your life better. Things that you should be aware of, things that you should try, things that helped me and others. You get them first. This interaction can be (but doesn’t need to be) a dialogue. I’d love to interact with people who are like minded, and want to develop themselves. That’s why I said above that I would like to help “aspiring leaders”. It is very difficult (if not impossible) to help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. So feel free to reply to my emails or write directly to me under firstname.lastname@example.org and share your questions, successes and struggles. I might turn it into a blog post to help others.
See you on the other side. Join the role models!
